I found full texts of classic literature at mit’s Internet Classics Archive. The texts are fully searchable so if you are looking for that reference in Homer’s “The Iliad”, search away. Additional freely downloadable books are available at Project Gutenberg. Have a palm device? you can download palm db-based books at memoware. Finally, a great informative site about King Arthur. I guess that last one is not really classic literature directly, but it has some great information about all of the famous characters in the Arthur legend.
Great URLs. I had forgotten about Project Gutenberg. Free, classic novels- that’s excellent.
Imagine if people could legally do the same with well known music and classic movies? Wouldn’t that also be spreading knowledge and culture? I am kind of on two sides of the coin here. Anyone would think it’s great to get this stuff for free, but I am of the firm opinion that people should be compensated financially for their work. :loud:
