    Job

I know I haven’t posted in a long time but today I got some great news that I think is blog worthy! I am employed as of tomorrow! Guin and I have been searching Toronto for jobs for some time now and our hard work and dedication to rejoining the workforce has paid off. I’ll be working right downtown in Toronto, doing desktop support for Statistics Canada. Last friday I went in for a final interview and they said I did great and gave me my choice of location. I could have picked Whitby or Mississauga as well, but I chose Toronto as it will be only 2 blocks away from Guin.

Congratulations sweetie! I am SO proud of you!

Congratulations!!! Wow, both of you getting offers at the same time and working close together is great!

If you come across a user with the last name of Cunningham, check to see if he used to be a Math/Computer teacher in Dryden, then mention my name! (Joel/Amy, do you remember Mr. Cunningham’s first name?)

He was working for StatsCan in Ottawa when I was in University (Amy, Kelly Getson, and I drove him from teaching) but I don’t know where he is now.

The comment above is from me…:???:

Cool, hope you like the job Al

    Awesome!!! Congrats Allen

Allen! As you know when Guin phoned about the jobs you both got ON THE SAME DAY! –I just started bawling from sheer happiness!! We all knew your hard work and patience would pay off and it has! Enjoy the work and meeting new colleagues and please find a great apartment!! Love Carol xoxoxoxo

    Congrats!

Way to go Allen!!! Welcome back to the rat race.

ArchAngel: I think that Mr. C’s first name is Brian, but (in honour of Allen’s new employer) I give that a 50% chance (and that’s accurate within +/- 4.3% 19 times out of 20).

    Bwahahahaha!

That’s awesome! Congratulations Allen! They recognize the skills! Maybe you’ll still get Slurpee fridays!

Hey Allen..coming down there soon and I can not wait!! saving up big time.. make more posts lol gtg now byebye.. see yah soon

    How’s this for a long shot ….

On June 1, 2005 there was a post by an anonymous user. It made reference to a friend named Kelly Getson — any chance this is the same Kelly Getson who is from Dryden Ontario and attended Confederation College 96-98? Then she moved to Calgary for a few years. I’ve lost touch and am trying to track her down.

In case you’re wondering if I’m some pycho, stalking ex-boyfriend — I’m not. My name is Charla and I’m the Festivals Coordinator for the Banff Mountain Film Festival at The Banff Centre in Banff, Alberta. They last time I saw kelly she came to visit me in Banff.

Small world. My girlfriend knows her. She said that Kelly still has family in Dryden but doesn’t know where Kelly is now. Check out Chris’s blog at http://www.omnipresence.ca and see if he knows. He is the one who made the post that mentioned her.
